Important: Measles Alert

Following a recent outbreak of measles in London, we strongly advise all parents and carers to ensure that children are fully immunised with the MMR vaccine.

Measles is a highly infectious illness and can be serious, particularly for babies, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Complications can include ear infections, pneumonia, seizures and, in rare cases, brain inflammation (encephalitis).

Please check your child’s Red Book to confirm they have received both doses of the MMR vaccine. If you are unsure about your child’s vaccination status, please contact the practice and we will be happy to check your records.

If you believe you or your child may have symptoms of measles please do NOT attend the practice in person.
Instead, please telephone the surgery or submit an online consultation so we can advise you safely.

Special Requirements

Our practice adheres to the ‘Accessible Information Standard’ (AIS).

This means that we want to give you information in ways that is best for you. This might include:

  • large print
  • braille
  • easy read

Or you might need access to a hearing loop, type to talk relay service or an interpreter. If you have any additional communication needs, please let us know and we can add a note to your medical record.

Chaperones

Our Practice provides a safe environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed. All patients can request to have a chaperone present for any appointment or examination. This chaperone can be a trained member of staff, a family member or friend.

There may also be times where your clinician might require a chaperone to be present for your appointment. When possible, please let us know that you would like a chaperone before your appointment. This helps to avoid your appointment being delayed or rescheduled. When this is not possible we will do our best to provide a chaperone at the time of request.

Interpreter

If you need an interpreter for your appointment please let us know as soon as possible. You can call, email or use Dr. iQ to let us know and we will be happy to arrange the service.

Our interpreter service covers a large range of languages.

If you need any help when you are visiting the GP Practice, please let us know before your appointment by calling the practice.
